On March 26, Marvel Studios announced the cast for Avengers: Doomsday via a livestream lasting for over five hours. The announcement included 27 set chairs with the names of cast members, which included several familiar names, such as Chris Hemsworth and Sebastian Stan, but also many surprises, like Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, and Rebecca Romijn.
