RTE star Kayleigh Trappe has broken her silence on landing her very own radio show.
The TikTok sensation was announced as a new voice on TalkSPORT Ireland’s new radio platform on Monday.
Kayleigh will present her very own show titled MNÁsplaining which will celebrate female atheletes.
The clever title is a play on the word “mansplaining”, which means to comment on or explain something, to a woman, in a condescending, manner.
Mna is the Irish word for women, making for a clever spin on the phrase.
The 29-year-old will make her debut on the station this May on TalkSPORTS’ brand new Irish platform.
Already attracting more than 100,000 Irish listeners a month, bosses hope to build their audience with a number of new shows planned.
In a short clip posted to TalkSPORT’S official Instagram, Kayleigh introduced the show saying: “Well folks, I’m Kayleigh Trappe and this is TalkSPORT Ireland‘s MNAsplaining.”
The Monoghan woman looked happy-as-ever as she stood inside the radio studio.
Kayleigh shared her excitement for her brand new career move as she commented underneath: “Here we go! Absolutely buzzing to be your host and get all the good stuff.”
Trappe recently wrapped up on hit RTE show Dancing With The Stars where she made it all the way to final.
However, she missed out on the big win when Irish Olympian Rhys McClenaghan and his professional partner Laura Nolan were crowned champions.
After the intense final, Kayleigh and her fellow DWTS pal Jack Woolley decided to jet off to Tenerife with their partners to unwind in the sun.
The four pals shared stunning snippets of their sun-soaked holiday over on Instagram.
However, a recent video of Kayleigh and Jack doing karaoke in a bar has sent fans into stitches of laughter.
The social media star uploaded the clip to her page with the caption: “This is why I lipsync. Cover your ears.”
‘SWEET JESUS’
In the video, Kayleigh and Jack had their arms wrapped around each other as they belted out Hit Me Baby One More Time by Britney Spears, while standing on a small stage.
The funny friends sang their hearts out to a small crowd of people sitting in the bar.
At one stage, Kayleigh jumped down from the stage and began to walk into the crowd, with Jack quickly following suit.
The pair continued to perform a shaky rendition of the hit tune all while showing off their best dance moves.
In the final few moments, Kayleigh started to do a brilliant impression of Britney’s voice, causing the bar to erupt into laughter.
Of course, fans all raced to the comment section to laugh over the star’s hilarious moment.
Ireland AM star, Elaine Crowley wrote: “Sweet Jesus!!”
Laura said: “Jesus ye’d clear a cemetery.”
Chris added: “Not a note in your head.”
