Daredevil: Born Again is back to its normal schedule after the double feature that it dropped last week. While Episode 5 follows Matt teaming up with Yusuf Khan to thwart a bank heist, Episode 6 makes some major strides in the plot. Matt Murdock took up the mantle of Daredevil once again and decided to lay the beatdown on Muse, the newest serial killer in town.
Matt Murdock saw himself deal with Muse in this episode, with Heather putting an end to the serial killer for good. However, the credit for the kill ended up going to Wilson Fisk’s Anti-Vigilante Task Force, which might be well on its way to winning the public’s trust in favor of Wilson Fisk.

I believe that the show is building up toward an enormous betrayal, which might put Matt Murdock on the back foot. We know that Wilson Fisk is not above manipulation and making sacrifices to reach his goal, so the growing divide between Fisk and Vanessa might be something that causes Matt a lot of trouble, rendering his leverage on Fisk utterly useless.
Daredevil: Born Again might see Wilson Fisk, not Muse, kill Vanessa Fisk

This episode of Daredevil: Born Again showed us that there is a lot of tension between Fisk and Vanessa that has not been resolved yet. Despite the duo being in therapy with Heather Glenn over their differences, this episode saw Vanessa possibly betraying Fisk (or it could be part of her and his plan or along, or Fisk might be in the know, to begin with- you never know with crime bosses).
One of the major reasons why Wilson Fisk has been kept in line by Matt Murdock is the fact that Karen, Foggy, and Matt had a lot of evidence of Vanessa being involved in the death of Ray Nadeem. However, should Wilson Fisk decide that Vanessa is a liability, or otherwise feel betrayed by her, the Kingpin could decide to kill Vanessa himself, causing Matt Murdock to lose a lot of sway he has on Wilson Fisk. Further, with Fisk’s political advancements and anti-vigilante task force in full swing, Daredevil: Born Again might just end with Wilson Fisk making Matt Murdock’s identity public, and unleashing hell on Matt’s life.
Daredevil: Born Again could see Wilson Fisk’s Anti-Vigilante Task Force morph into something more Sinister

Wilson Fisk’s Anti-Vigilante Squad currently just consists of cops who have a bone to pick with the system that they feel is bogging them down. However, there is only so much cops with guns can do when it comes to superpowered vigilantes like Spider-Man, Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Moon Knight. This might cause Fisk to want to recruit some villains he could have met during the time he was incarcerated, causing him to assemble a new team of anti-vigilante villains.
Given that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to be a little bit more grounded, and that Wilson Fisk has talked about Spider-Man’s activities in the show, it is possible that Fisk could be the chief antagonist for Spider-Man’s fourth solo outing in the MCU. He could also introduce the Sinister Six, which could be bankrolled by the Mayor’s Office, to go after Vigilantes. This could include Scorpion, teased way back in Homecoming, Vulture, and perhaps some new villains like Tombstone and Mister Negative, among others.
Daredevil: Born Again is streaming on Disney+
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will hit theatres on July 31st, 2026.
