Inside Meghan Trainor’s Mounjaro transformation & the special pills she’s taking to ‘age backwards’ & lip flip regrets

HER transformation has been one of Hollywood’s biggest talking points, and this week Meghan Trainor finally owned up to the secret behind it.

The Grammy winner openly acknowledged that she doesn’t look the same as she did “10 years ago”, admitting to being part of the Ozempic and Mounjaro trend – a movement that has reportedly swept up around 20 million people in the US.

After much speculation, the 31-year-old shared a post to her 18.3 million Instagram followers where she spoke about her journey towards becoming the “healthiest version of herself” for her children.

She wrote: “I’ve worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I’m so glad I did because I feel great.”

Meghan previously revealed that she developed gestational diabetes after welcoming her two sons – Riley, four, and Barry, 21 months – with her husband of six years, Spy Kids star Daryl Sabara.

In November 2022, the Grammy winner also shared that she lost 60 pounds after reaching her “heaviest” weight following the birth of her son Riley.

But could there be other treatments behind her transformation?

Cosmetic Dr. Aamer Khan, the medical lead at Harley Street Skin Clinic who runs a Weight Shift Programme with Ozempic to help people safely achieve their weight loss goals, commented: “Her significant weight loss, which may well now be more than 60 pounds, is purported to have been achieved by Mounjaro, which costs around £700–£1,000 per month.

“Meghan Trainor’s dramatic physical transformation has likely been achieved through a combination of cosmetic procedures and lifestyle changes that have truly altered – and many would say enhanced – her appearance.”

Here’s a closer look at her transformation, alongside insights from top celebrity doctors Dr. Aamer and Galadari aesthetic doctor Dr Hassan Galadari, who reveal what other treatments could be behind her revamped look.

And how it may have set the Made You Look singer back £36,000.

Breast work

Earlier this year, Meghan underwent a breast augmentation and lift, describing the results as the “boobs of my dreams”.

She opted for the procedure after experiencing “sagginess” caused by having children and weight fluctuations, which could have cost between £6,000 and £12,000.

Skin tightening

Last year, Meghan admitted she may have gone a little too far with changes to her face.

Despite having Botox “just a handful of times”, she recalled being left unable to smile after getting a “lip flip”.

Speaking on her podcast Workin’ On It, the singer confessed to getting “too much Botox”.

Talking about the lip flip, she said: “And everyone’s like, ‘You’re going to love it, your little lips,’ and I didn’t love it because I couldn’t smile.”

Dr. Aamer commented: “Like most celebrities, Meghan has had Botox injections costing around £300–£400 per session.

“Her lip treatments, particularly for her top lip, could typically cost £300–£600 per session.”

Loosening up

Significant weight loss often leads to loose skin, which may require skin-tightening treatments to address.

Dr Hassan explained: “Meghan looks great, and it’s refreshing to see her being open and honest about using weight loss injections.

“However, she’s also very likely had other aesthetic treatments that have contributed to her changing facial appearance.

“Rapid weight loss can often lead to facial sagging and loose skin, so she may have had skin-tightening treatments like Morpheus8 Burst to lift and firm her neck and jawline, which can cost £550 per session.”

Dr Aamer added: “Her skin tightening may have included treatments like SkinTite, priced at £4,000, or even surgery such as an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), which costs around £10,000.

“These treatments help tighten the skin and restore a smoother, more youthful appearance after significant weight reduction.”

Getting scientifical

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Meghan revealed she is trying to “biohack” her body and is open to anything “that’ll help me age backwards”.

She said: “I just learned about the NADs [supplements].

“I was like, ‘Make me Hailey Bieber. I’ll do it. I’ll take it’ … I’m trying all the things. I love a doctor explaining stuff to me.”

NADs, or nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, boost cellular energy and maintain cellular health, helping cells function properly.

Dr Aamer added: “While Meghan has mentioned taking NAD capsules, it is quite possible that she has undergone NAD+ therapy, which is more commonly used for its rejuvenating effects.

“NAD+ therapy in drip form typically costs between £500 per session and promotes energy and overall well-being.”

Smile makeover

In 2022, Meghan revealed on her podcast Workin’ On It that she “got new teeth”.

Dr Aamer commented: “Her teeth, which could be veneers – a popular cosmetic dental procedure among celebrities – usually cost between £500 and £1,000 per tooth.”

Dr Hassan suggested Meghan may have also had biostimulators to enhance her smile.

He explained: “This could be calcium hydroxylapatite or poly-L-lactic acid to help restore facial volume and stimulate collagen production over time.”
