The White Lotus famed Sam Nivola is quite the hot topic among fans of the series these days. While his boyish good looks play a part in it, a bigger credit goes to his phenomenal performance as Lochlan Ratliff in the ongoing Season 3 of the blockbuster series.
Inevitably, the past two episodes took things up a notch for him when the audience got to witness some sequences that left them shocked beyond belief.
However, probably not even their concerns about his character on screen can rival the anxiety he seems to be dealing with in fear of getting sued by HBO for violating an NDA contract for the series.

Sam Nivola is ruling the digital scenes these days with his performance in The White Lotus Season 3. The popular show finally returned to the screens after more than two years of wait and is already becoming the talk of the town with each episode.
Although fans were initially worried about whether this season will be able to be on par with the brilliance of the series’ previous seasons, it seems like their anxiety was for naught. As per reports, The White Lotus is already trending worldwide with millions of fans tuning in for the show as the season speeds towards its climax.
However, controversies have already started surrounding the show and its actors. Possibly the biggest one, though, is the one that has been brewing around Sam Nivola, who plays Lochlan Ratliff in the HBO series.
The actor confessed to Variety in a recent interview that he ended up violating an NDA contract he was under regarding the series when he spilled the beans about his character to his family and girlfriend. As such, he’s pretty anxious about it.
I told my parents, but I haven’t told my sister. She’s bad at keeping secrets. I’m not supposed to have told anyone, because I’m under a lot of NDAs. But I told my girlfriend, because she was there while we were shooting it. That’s about it. I’m really scared about getting sued by HBO.
However, even his anxiety about his success turning into a lawsuit couldn’t prepare him for the discomfort the series put him through. Sam Nivola admitted that filming a particular sequence for The White Lotus Season 3 made him extremely “weird” about things.

The White Lotus Season 3 focuses on the Ratliff family who are on a vacation on the titular resort chain in Thailand. A series of exotic and mystical experiences later, the series finds brothers Lochlan Ratliff (Sam Nivola) and Saxon Ratliff (Patrick Schwarzenegger) in a compromising position after a wild night out.
Although none of them initially remember completely what exactly went down between them as a result of drunken escapades, things start growing uncomfortable between the brothers once they do. Of course, they take the audience, too, on their awkward journey of exploring uncharted territories in their relationship.
However, for all the queasy feelings fans of the show must have dealt with watching things unfold between the two, nothing comes closer than what the actors went through. Nivola confessed the same in the interview with Variety elaborating just how uncomfortable he felt filming that scene with Schwarzenegger.
It was very weird kissing Patrick because he’s a really good friend of mine. And, you know, I’m straight, he’s straight. It’s already weird. It would have been easier if that was the first time we were meeting.
He further added that things were relatively easier with their scene partner Charlotte Le Bon, who plays Chloe in the series as “there were no stakes”.
However, Patrick Schwarzenegger was already “like a brother to [him]”. As a result, things “felt sort of f**ked up” to Sam Nivola.
