Triple H, the creative head of the WWE franchise, had a fantastic WWE career as a wrestler. He became one of the most iconic superstars of the generation, with Shawn Michaels as Team D-Generation X.
The 14-time world champion also had a share of matches that didn’t go as he would have expected. Among them was his encounter with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 32, which could be counted as one of the worst matches of his career.

However, if you thought this was the most awful match in his career, then you could be wrong. The worst match of Triple H was his first WrestleMania appearance, and it was against the Ultimate Warrior.
Triple H and his awful debut at WrestleMania 12 against The Ultimate Warrior
This is one of those matches that Triple H would like to forget. He made his WrestleMania debut at WrestleMania 12. At that point, he was not known as Triple H. It was Hunter Hearst Helmsley. This was his initial name when he made his first WrestleMania appearance, and the commentary panel called him Helmsley.

Triple H was very young at that point and had zero credibility, while the Ultimate Warrior was making his return to the WWE after nearly four years and was already a known and popular WWE superstar. The match turned awful for Helmsley because not only did he lose the game, but his signature move, “Pedigree,” made no difference to the energy of The Ultimate Warrior.
As soon as The Ultimate Warrior hits the ground after a “Pedigree” from Triple H “Helmsley,” The Ultimate Warrior gets up instantly, all charged up with energy, and finishes the game of Helmsley within minutes.
It was the first appearance of Triple H at WrestleMania, but it lasted around three minutes. This had to be counted among the worst matches.
Though his WrestleMania 12 match surpasses the absurdity of his matchup against Roman Reigns, this too would have been equally hurting as it was again WrestleMania, and he suffered humiliation and loss.
Triple H and an awful WrestleMania 32
“The Game” entered the WrestleMania 32 match as the WWE world heavyweight champion and was defending it against the rising Babyface, Roman Reigns. Stephanie McMahon, who gave a weird speech about him, accompanied him to his entrance. This speech involved degrading the crowd and appraising The Game.
Stephanie McMahon constantly interfered in the match, and eventually, Roman Reigns speared her inside the ring. Triple H went furious after this and was handed a hammer by Stephanie to attack Roman. However, he was tired and was out-powered by Roman Reigns, who finished “The Game” with the spear and became the new WWE world heavyweight champion.
Triple H was a phenomenon in the early 2010s. The storyline of Team D-Generation X and his 14 WWE titles describes his accomplishments as a WWE wrestler. Some matches may have been a flop show, but it all led to an impeccable career as a WWE superstar.
