KIERAN MOLLOY is targeting a fight night at Eamonn Deacy Park this summer.
The Oughterard boxer, now based in England, has been watching Galway United’s progress in the League of Ireland Premier Division this year — and wants a piece of the action for himself.

Molloy said: “It’s phenomenal to know I’ve got the support of people in Galway behind me.
“In boxing, you’ve got to stay so focused on whoever is in front of you. It’s you versus them.
“But when you get dragged into the deep end, that support can make the difference.
“It can really pull you through and make sure you come out the other side.”
Unbeaten Molloy enjoyed a homecoming at Salthill Leisureland two years ago, beating Fernando Mosquera on points.
And the 26-year-old has won five more bouts since to bring his record to 10-0.
Now he has ordered his team to arrange a home date, telling SportsBoom.com: “Steve Collins once took a fight to a horse showground down in Cork and that’s gone down in history.
“I’m working in England now but I’m still a Galway boy and we want an outdoor show in the summer.
“Let’s get a really good fight on and make it for a title.”
