Local authorities have issued a bulletin to warn citizens of an upsurge in counterfeit bills circulating through our area.
“There’s no doubt what the counterfeiter’s intentions were. However, the quality is one of the poorest jobs we’ve seen,” a special investigator assigned to this case said. “Nonetheless, some people have been fooled and are now out money and we can’t have that.”
According to the bulletin, a good number of people who accepted the bills had lost their glasses or were drinking heavily.
