RTE Fair City viewers have all said they are “giving up” after James quizzed Tyler over Laura’s murder again.
On tonight’s episode, Fidelma informed James that the Guards could arrange the payment he requested, and he then readied himself to gather more info on Tyler.

James decided to invite Tyler to lunch and was surprised when Tyler took an interest in Gwen.
He then began to probe Tyler about Laura but was shocked when he turned the tables and asked about his meeting with Fidelma.
James quickly tried to cover his tracks but was rattled when Tyler expressed interest in Gwen once again.
Later on James failed at warning a mischievous Gwen off Tyler.
A scared James then told Fidelma that their deal was off.
And RTE viewers were quick to react to James’ repeated involvment in Laura’s murder investigation.
Sinead wrote on X: “If this case is relying only on James to get the info we may give up altogether.”
Sylvia said: “Why are the police always getting James involved.”
Pamela added: “Surely they can find out who murdered Laura without James.”
And Amy remarked: “Back to square one with the Laura murder.”
Meanwhile, Dean and Mairead were irritated when Damien accepted Tyler’s offer of a welcome home drink.
Mairead and Dean agreed to “play nice” with Tyler for Damien but secretly vowed to keep an eye on him.
As Damien praised Tyler again for saving his life, Tyler revelled in goading Mairead and Dean.
While that was happening, Alex, under pressure at work, was shocked to learn that Ruby was advertising a delivery service for Brewzers.
RUBY’S MISTAKE
Alex confronted Ruby and refused to let her use Brewzers for her college marketing project.
Zoe tried unsuccessfully to convince Alex to give Ruby’s project a chance, agreeing to make the deliveries on her courier route.
When Alex expressed an interest in video games, Ellie pretended to be a novice and challenged him to a battle.
Having beaten Alex at the arcade, Ellie named her prize: give Ruby’s project the greenlight.
DRAGGING ON
Elsewhere in Carrigstown, Dolores struggled to find cover for the Medical Centre amidst its legal troubles.
However, Dolores felt relieved when Joan assured her that most of the claims being made against the Centre were frivolous.
Dolores was then left unnerved when Mairead suggested that the court cases may drag on.
A rattled Dolores urged Joan to make a quick settlement but was disheartened to learn it wouldn’t be that simple.
