As soon as her design surfaced on the internet, fans began drawing comparisons between her and different anime characters.
Out of the many characters mentioned during such discussions, Escoffier bears a striking resemblance to Erina Nakiri from the Food Wars anime. Their similarities extend beyond their identical appearances. And, here’s how!

It’s evident why fans believe that Escoffier resembles Erina Nakiri. They both have beautiful blonde hair and identical features. If the conversation ever turns to the best waifu in Food Wars, Erina will inevitably and always be mentioned. From a roster of great female characters, Erina stands out with her brilliance as a chef and her tsundere traits.
Escoffier looks much sweeter and almost friendly in her leaked animations. But, she’s also a cook just like Erina. Moreover, the official X post mentions how her ruthless criticism of her colleagues has made her famous in the culinary world. This sounds exactly like Erina who takes great pride in her profession as a chef.
If she feels that someone isn’t good enough or doesn’t meet the desired standard as a chef, she would not shy away from voicing her thoughts. If it had only been their identical appearances, the similarities could be brushed off as mere coincidence, but the other similarities have made fans question if Erina served as an inspiration behind Escoffier.

Erina was the most popular character during the discussion, but fans brought up some other characters as well, during the discussion. Pecorine from Princess Connect! Re: Dive was also mentioned. And again, both characters have similar attires and identical features.
Kirino from Oreimo is another character that Escoffier reminded fans of, even though both these characters are extremely different. Asuna from Sword Art Online was also brought up. What we know about Escoffier is from the leaks and her general introduction, so it’s not quite clear who she resembles the most. So far, Erina is the clear winner, but the official release of version 5.6 will clear any remaining doubts.
