Do you know who you are talking to”: The Undertaker Couldn’t Believe Gunther Had the Balls to Disrespect Him Like That

The Undertaker is one of the most iconic characters in the WWE. His aura and in-ring mysticism took the fans’ breaths away. However, upon his retirement from the squared ring, The Undertaker has decided to pursue coaching as a career and mentor young talents through their professional career hurdles.

Gunther is an emerging prospect in the heavyweight category at the company. He has raised speculations regarding the trajectory of the trainees at LFG. A promising aspect in particular raised eyebrows between the Undertaker and Gunther as he raised a question straight to the face of the Deadman.

Gunther questioned The Undertaker’s coaching abilities

The World Heavyweight Champion came into the LFG facility for a visit and met the future superstars who were pooled between Team Bubba Ray Dudley and Team Undertaker. Just then, Gunther spotted Tyra Mae Steele, an Olympic Gold Medalist in Wrestling, and asked to work on her skills.

But he did not just advise Steele and got on with the usual business. Gunther took her case with her coach, The Undertaker, and asked the real reason behind Steele’s inability to realize her full potential. A confrontation of this kind from the champion made the Deadman uncomfortable. Following the question, The Undertaker said the following:

“If I am gonna be completely honest, I had a moment where I was like, Bro, do you know who you are talking to? But I thought about it and he was right.”

In the build-up to this brief but consequential confrontation between The Undertaker and Gunther, the former praised The World Heavyweight Champion and described him as someone who loves this business and lives through it. The Undertaker also said that he can claim Gunther as his guy.

In a short span at WWE, Gunther has established himself as one of the most formidable WWE superstars. The Austrian wrestler had set the record as the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion at 666 days.

Furthermore, he has clashed with every major superstars in the WWE and became the World Heavyweight Champion after he defeated Damien Priest at last year’s SummerSlam. He is set to defend his title against Jey Uso at WrestleMania 41.

The story of Tyra Mae Steele

Tyra Mae Steele made her debut in professional wrestling at NXT against Wren Sinclair. During the build-up to her debut, Steele wore her Olympic medal during a promotional interview in Orlando, Florida. Steele managed to impress the WWE universe with her moves. However, she had to lose her debut match by a fall against Sinclair.

Originally known as Tamrya Mensah-Stock, she won an Olympic gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Thus, she became only the third Olympic gold medalist and first female to have won the silverware and switch over to the WWE. She had won the WCWA Championship for Wayland Baptist and won senior world titles in 2019 and 2022.

The 32-year-old entered the developmental wing of the WWE in May 2023 after she suffered a back injury that ended her triumphant run as an elite Olympic wrestler. While the milestones she achieved for her country were noteworthy, will she ever compete at the highest level in WWE? Only time has the answer to this question.
