Like a few other celebrities in the past, Sydney Sweeney just rocked a revenge dress on the red carpet after a breakup.
On April 1, a day after reports confirmed her split from fiancé Jonathan Davino, the Euphoria star stepped out and turned heads at CinemaCon 2025 in a gorgeous silver number.
The dress, which included a drop-waist corset, a matching belt, and a straight silk skirt, perfectly accentuated her hourglass figure. She then accessorized the look with minor jewelry, glowy pink glam, and her long hair in luscious waves.

The red carpet was for the “State of the Industry” and Lionsgate Presentation at CinemaCon, to which Sweeney attended on behalf of her upcoming book-to-movie adaptation The Housemaid.
Also on the carpet were her movie co-stars Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar and the movie’s director, A Simple Favor creator Paul Feig.

As for the news of Sweeney’s breakup from Davino, People confirmed it on March 31 after much speculation.
“She’s exactly where she wants to be,” a source told the outlet. “Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and [is] very excited about all her projects. What did make her overwhelmed, though, was her relationship and her wedding. She didn’t feel right about it.”
In other words, Sweeney wants to be focusing on her career right now, and doesn’t have time for a relationship, let alone to plan a wedding. Among her upcoming roles are playing Millie in The Housemaid, playing Cassie on the third season of Euphoria and the Christy Martin biopic she’s a lead in.

With everything she has going on, walking down the aisle to Davino just didn’t fit in. “She’s not ready to settle down,” the source said. “They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.”
The two were first linked in 2018 and got engaged in 2022.
Prior to confirmation of their split, Sweeney was spotted at her Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell’s sister’s wedding, and sources reported that she and Davino had halted planning their wedding.
“They were supposed to get married this spring,” a source told Us Weekly. “The wedding is not happening, and they aren’t having further discussions about it. Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress.”
Now, it seems the chapter with Davino is behind her and she’s moving on, one red carpet at a time!
