Charlize Theron‘s rarely-seen daughters just made an appearance on her Instagram, and fans are all saying the same thing.
On March 30, the Africa Outreach Project founder and her daughters arrived in style at Dua Lipa’s ongoing Radical Optimism Tour. She shared the photos on her Instagram with the caption reading, “Oh what a night! @dualipa ❤️”
In the photos, we see Theron having the time of her life at the concert, sharing pics of the stage, her dancing, and her pals. But the fifth photo is a fav for fans since we see Theron with her two daughters, Jackson and August, all twinning in jeans and white t-shirts.
Along with twinning, fans also noticed something: how tall her daughters are!
Theron, a native South African woman, adopted both of her daughters from South Africa. According to the South Africa Demographic and Health Survey, the average height of a South African woman is around 5’2.5 inches. So all of them are quite tall compared to the average!
For those who don’t know, Theron has two adopted daughters: Jackson, whom she adopted in early 2012, and August, whom she adopted in July 2015.
(Per For The Voiceless, there are approximately 2.7 million orphans in South Africa alone. The adoption rate has decreased, with the latest details being in 2020, where there were “only 977 national adoptions, 146 intercountry adoptions, [making] 1123 in total.”)
In a previous interview with SheKnows, she talked about how she wants to nurture and help her daughters express their voices to the world. “It’s strange, little girls come into this world just naturally having that [ability to share their voices], and then we slowly break and kill that. We have to stop doing that,” she said. “They have it.”
