Things are changing for Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos and their ABC talk show, Live With Kelly and Mark. A recent announcement about the show’s future has left many fans with questions about whether or not we can still expect to see the couple on our screens each morning.
Is ‘Live With Kelly and Mark’ Ending?
Live With Kelly and Mark is not ending, however, the show is going to be making a huge transition in April 2025. It was announced that Kelly and Mark would be moving out of their old Upper West Side studio and into a new studio at 7 Lincoln Square.
Their final episode in the old studio aired on April 1, 2025. They said an emotional goodbye to the place that held so many memories for them and their family. Kelly and Mark revealed that their kids, Michael, Lola and Joaquin, also had special ties to the show’s old studio.
“Some of our closest friends are people that work here,” Mark told People in April 2025. “We’re a family at Live, and growing up, those were some of the people our kids were closest to.”
“Yeah, my kids have full text chains with some of the people here,” Kelly said. “Like, Lola doesn’t look at some of our producers as producers; she looks at them as other moms. These are moms she and my sons can go to if I’m on set if there’s an emergency. So there’s a lot of that.”
To honor their big move, Kelly and Mark looked back at some of their best moments in the old space. And while they were in the middle of a segment on March 31, 2025, the duo noted that there was a mishap with some of the equipment.
“This studio is breaking down. The monitor just fell off the camera,” Kelly said while laughing. “It’s time to go, everybody!”
“Get out!” Mark chimed in.
Why Is ‘Live With Kelly and Mark’ Moving to a New Studio?
The All My Children alums talked about preparing to make the big move during an October 2024 episode of their show. At the time, Kelly said that the current studio had “been sold,” which meant the show would be moving to the Walt Disney Company’s new NYC headquarters.
“But that’s not going to happen for some time, and I still don’t believe it’s going to happen,” she said at the time. “Anyway, I don’t believe it’s happening. But anyway, we’re moving down to this fancy schmancy state of the art studio in SoHo.”
“SoHo where we used to live, which would have been convenient for us,” Kelly told viewers. “But as soon as we move to the Upper East Side, now we want to move to SoHo. OK, whatever!”
The Future of ‘Live With Kelly and Mark’
For now, Live With Kelly and Mark is here to stay on ABC. However, Kelly has made remarks about looking forward to retirement many times in the past, and Mark said he could understand why.
“I think it’s a real thing,” Mark told Entertainment Tonight in September 2023 of Kelly’s mentions of retirement. “She’s been at that for 23 years.”
“I don’t think it’s gonna be anytime soon,” he continued. “I know she’s having a good time, I’m having a really, really good time. But at some point, yeah.”
Mark added, “When she does decide to walk away, no one’s earned it more than her.”
“She’s been working her butt off since she was like 12 or 13 years old, and she got into the business at 18, and so it’s been a long ride,” he concluded. “[But] she’s having a blast now.”
