Bloodborne PC and Xbox Release Confirmed, Sony Admits “We were greedy”

Every gamer’s wet dream has finally come true, as the much-awaited release of Bloodborne on PC and on Microsoft’s Xbox is finally here. Yes, you heard that right; after years of persuasion, PlayStation is finally giving up its most prized possession, all in exchange for nothing but goodwill.

FromSoftware, the developer behind the gothic Souls title, recently celebrated the game turning a decade old, telling fans at the time to expect a surprise to arrive soon, and it could not have been better than this.

Sony finally kneels: Bloodborne to reign on PC and Xbox

The city of Yharnam has been locked behind the bars of exclusivity forever, and that, too, is in just 30 FPS. However, making use of the opportunity, the game’s 10-year anniversary, Sony has finally agreed to take the high road for once and release the game on major platforms other than PlayStation.

Talking about this unexpected yet welcome announcement, a representative from the Sony group, Disis Ally, stated the following in an exclusive conversation with Fandomwire.

The release of Bloodborne on other platforms has been long pending, and folks here at Sony couldn’t be happier to announce that it will finally be heading over to Steam and Xbox soon, with other storefronts lined up for the future as well. I agree; we were greedy, and to make up for it, we are now bringing back the franchise on the unreleased Unreal Engine 6, with a 240 FPS+ option for PC users.

While a release date for Bloodborne’s return has not been slated yet, it could not be further than 2030, and what’s 5 years more when we have already waited for over a decade? Ally, further in our conversation with him, reveals how players can expect the game to perform on updated graphics with a high FPS count, even on a low-spec PC build.

The party wouldn’t be complete without the brains behind the game joining in. Hidetaka Miyazaki’s assistant, April, foolishly revealed in an email exchange with Fandomwire how the renowned director feels about the announcement.

I have never seen him become so happy yet nonchalant at the same time. Mr. Miyazaki is indeed happy about the news; however, he personally stated to employees here at FromSoftware how this announcement has been “long time pending.”

While he might not express it much, fans are sure the man behind Bloodborne is as excited as everybody else for the franchise to finally reach out of its PlayStation lock-up, unlocking new potential and showing the title in a new light. What’s more exciting is how a release on PC also opens up the doors to modding, and we are sure fans are already betting on who will make it first to the city of Yharnam, CJ, or Goku.

Mr. Miyazaki’s assistant also revealed towards the end of our conversation how the director had an explicit instruction for every fan to follow after the announcement. The director stated, “See the date today,” and if you haven’t done it yet, this is exactly the kind of gullibility Sony and Microsoft exploit to rake in billions.
