WWE has finally allowed CM Punk a WrestleMania main event fight but it did not come easy for the superstar. Punk always wanted to main event at a WrestleMania and worked his shoes off to make that dream come true. Despite being one of the most popular wrestlers in the promotion, WWE did not fulfill his wish.
The biggest shock came in 2013 at WrestleMania 29 when despite selling more merchandise than the two of the biggest names in the promotion, John Cena and The Rock, WWE decided to not give him a chance to perform at the main event, instead chose to back part-timers such as Kevin Nash and Triple H, This shocked wrestlers and fans alike.

CM Punk opens up on not being able to main event at WrestleMania 29 despite being the most deserving candidate
CM Punk was visibly heartbroken after being omitted from the WrestleMania 29 main event, even after doing everything he could, WWE overlooked him and booked undeserving wrestlers to the main event at The Showcase of The Immortals.
In an interview with WWE, he claimed he had no idea what more he had to do to reach his goal.
” I fell short of a goal so it sucks. I understand the business more than everybody who says that I dont and normally i would just kind of grin and bear, you know eyes forward head down work harder. I don’t know how much harder I can possibly work. This business takes it’s toll in ages obviously.”
” I have made it very well known that I would like to main-event and you gotta understand too because I am a businessman, the difference between where thay are at and where I am is millions of dollars”

CM Punk’s hard work has finally paid off, as he is set to face Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 41. He always believed in himself, and it took some time, but his efforts eventually paid off.
CM Punk claims he would never stop fighting for his dreams even if he is trolled for that online

CM Punk went on to claim that fans often label his pleas for a WrestleMania main event bout as whining, but that will not stop Punk from demanding what is rightfully his.
“I do believe I get mistreated a lot, people kigd of cherry pick a few things i have said and it comes off as whining or me getting bitter. I just know how hard I work and eventually will get there.”
CM Punk without a doubt deserves a WrestleMania main event bout, maybe more than anyone else in the company. After giving so many years to the promotion, Punk is finally being shown some appreciation by WWE.
He should have made a WrestleMania main event appearance a lot earlier, but still, it’s better late than never. It will be interesting to see how his first main event bout will shape up and whether The Best in the World will truly live up to his name.
