‘Solo Leveling’ Season 3 Isn’t Coming Anytime Soon and It’s for the Best

Solo Leveling might have broken a lot of records in anime, but out of them, the most impressive one is something that you might not expect. It’s crazy how a series can be this insanely popular, yet it seems a majority of people hate it so much. Yes, you heard that right – that’s also an achievement in itself.

Of course, the studio behind Season 2 of Solo Leveling went above and beyond and pulled off their A-game in animation. You can see the fantastic results in front of your eyes. However, many people would say that animation is all it has.

But here’s some good news for the fans. The officials recently announced that Season 3 of Solo Leveling will be much delayed, and it’s a relief, to be honest. But exactly why? How can the late release of this highly popular anime’s 3rd season be a good thing anyway?

Solo Leveling Season 3’s tentative release window just got announced!

Not in 2025, not even in 2026; Season 3 of everyone’s beloved aura farming series, Solo Leveling, will probably come out in January 2027. At least, that’s what it seems so far. But why such a delay? Aren’t they afraid it might just kill all the hype after such a long wait?

According to reports, the director of the Solo Leveling anime will be busy with some other projects meanwhile, which must be more necessary to work on first. That must be why delaying Solo Leveling was thought to be a reasonable choice. However, one can safely assume they also knew the consequences this might bring for the franchise.

Such a delay would absolutely kill some hype, at least for the anime-only fans. If they don’t start reading the manhwa right away, it’s highly likely they’ll forget about the show to a certain extent.

But still, the studio agreed to the delay, which makes it interesting to imagine what they might have been thinking. They must have had a novel cause, something that would benefit Solo Leveling in the long run.

Fans would forget how overrated it is and watch it regardless!

At the end of the day, it’s pointless to think that true fans would ever run out of excitement. After all, that’s what makes a fan a fan. However, this delayed release would act as a different master plan for the series’ longevity.

Those who were criticizing the series or calling it overrated would just eventually forget about all that and start watching again, regardless of their initial opinions. Now, isn’t that simply a big brain move?

It’s a genius move, to say the least. Not only would they be taking their time to possibly create even better animation in Season 3, but they’re also safeguarding the fanbase’s popularity by filtering out unwanted haters.

Now, would it actually work, or would the hate train remain? Only time will tell. But one thing is for sure: the hype would diminish to a certain extent, as already mentioned. However, with Solo Leveling: Ragnarok releasing right now, one can’t see a future where the series runs out of content. So maybe Solo Leveling‘s popularity wouldn’t be affected that much, even after all that waiting.

Solo Leveling is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
