Rumors and speculations hint at the possibility of Channing Tatum returning to the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Gambit. However, fans aren’t so impressed by it.
Kevin Feige is allegedly considering the return of Gambit
Deadpool & Wolverine was a wild ride from start to finish. Starring Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and a plethora of other actors and cameos, the 2024 film went on to earn great ratings (and great money) from fans.
Marvel recently announced its main lineup for the upcoming MCU magnum opus, Avengers: Doomsday. Some of the iconic stars who are going to be a part of it are Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, and Robert Downey Jr.
According to a rumor, it seems that the entire cast of Avengers: Doomsday hasn’t been revealed. The rumor further alleges that Channing Tatum might be reprising his role of Gambit in the upcoming film.

Although the world loved Tatum’s performance as Gambit in the film, it seems that Kevin Feige might have some trouble bringing the iconic actor back because of fans.
From a hilarious accent (which was supposed to be funny) to some action-packed scenes, some fans have a problem with how Gambit was portrayed in the 2024 film.
Fans think Channing Tatum is a bad Gambit
Everyone’s entitled to their opinions, but some of them are just plain wrong. Channing Tatum made for a fantastic Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine, but not everyone was on board with it.
Taking to the social media platform on X, fans talked about how Gambit will really need to clutch his character up if they want a good portrayal of Gambit in the upcoming film.

Although some people would love to see Channing Tatum return as Gambit in the upcoming MCU magnum opus, others aren’t so sure about it. It remains, however, a rumor, and nothing can be confirmed or denied at the moment.
With a majority of the MCU cast returning for the magnum opus, Avengers: Doomsday is set for a release date of 1 May 2026 in theaters across the world.
