The DC Universe is officially in action. With Creature Commandos already out for the world to watch, and the release of Superman not far off, fans can’t help but wait to look forward to what is coming their way. The Man of Steel is all set to kickstart an entire universe of DC live-action adaptations (almost a decade after he first did).
With James Gunn and Peter Safran at the helm, Warner Bros. would be hoping that the David Corenswet starrer will set the tone for the way forward. No matter what comes its way, Gunn & Co. has already set their eyes on what it wants to do next. And it looks exciting as the first look at Milly Alcock from Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is here.
James Gunn has his plans for the DCU well laid out

While Superman is carrying the expectations of an entire ‘universe’ on his shoulders (not the first time the Son of Krypton will be pulling off something like this), Gunn and co. are too far in to back off from other projects.
Clayface is all set to bring to the fore a character who has often lurked in the shadows, with Mike Flanagan donning the director’s hat and Matt Reeves producing the project. The Authority, a story close to James Gunn‘s heart, is also in the pipeline.
Andy Muschietti is all set to direct The Brave and The Bold, revolving around Bruce and Damian Wayne. Swamp Thing is another project that has turned many heads. Not only because James Mangold is set to direct it but because of the titular character’s origin.

Series like Lantern, Peacemaker Season 2, Waller, Paradise Lost, and Booster Gold are also in the works. No wonder James Gunn has a well-laid-out vision for everything that is going to come next. But their release will have to wait for the time being.
Milly Alcock is all set to star in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow

DC Studios has already confirmed its follow-up to the Rachel Brosnahan starrer – one that will put another entity from Krypton in the spotlight. Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is set to be the second DCU movie to hit theatres.
With Milly Alcock of House of Dragons fame all set to star in the titular role, things are bound to get interesting. She will have to lock (metaphorical) horns with Jason Momoa‘s Lobo.
James Gunn has promised his version to be different. Unlike numerous other representations of Kara Zor-El, this one will bring to the fore a dark and grittier side of the character.
At first glance of Alcock from the set, she has teased the turn her version of the character will take. This can be inferred from the fact that her character is based on Tom King’s 2021 comic series, which brings forth another side of the character.
It seems things will get interesting when the movie hits theatres on June 26, 2026.
