“It also has many layers you need to play to perceive”: Battlefield 6 Lead Producer Reveals Why You Don’t Need to Worry About the Leaks

Battlefield 6 has been the talk of the town for a while now, and players cannot wait to get their hands on the upcoming game. The game is currently being developed by EA DICE, and they are letting some players test it out as a part of the Battlefield Labs program.

Although letting the general public test out the game while it is still being developed is sort of harmless, it does give leakers the chance to show what the developers are working on. But the lead producer of the game is pretty chill about parts of the game being leaked.

Why is the lead producer not worried about the game being leaked, and are the leaks that major? Let’s find out.

Battlefield 6 leaks do not actually represent the whole game

The Battlefield franchise features some of the best multiplayer shooter experiences a game could provide. While the series has forever been compared with Activision’s Call of Duty franchise, there are a lot of aspects of Battlefield that make the game more unique and fun to play, like its destructive and dynamic environments.

With Battlefield 6 being the next installment in the series, it is quite difficult to keep hardcore fans of the series at bay. Leaks of the game have been floating around for a while now on the Internet, showing the new features and maps that the upcoming game will offer, and EA has been sort of laid-back with the whole thing.

Battlefield 6‘s lead producer, David Sirland, recently went on X (formerly Twitter) to talk about how leaked footage of the game is not necessarily true to the upcoming game. He also mentions how the reason for conducting playtests is to find the best possible outcome for the devs to improve the game.

This BF may look to play one way, but I assure you it also has many layers you need to play to perceive, a key reason to use something like Labs. Allowing us as devs to find the best possible outcome of our designs together. We use equal amounts of feedback, data, and confirmation connected to the goals we have for our various design areas. Some of these we’ll rewamp based on outcomes, but a majority we’ll hone the balance of,

Sirland has also mentioned on the social media platform that he won’t discuss stuff that is directly connected to the leaks.

The developers are confident about their upcoming game

It is very surprising to see that even though leaks of Battlefield 6 have been floating around for a while, EA is not aggressively trying to remove every bit of the material from the Internet. Although some videos and pictures have been removed from social media sites like Reddit, it is still astonishing to see that the Battlefield team is cool with the leaks.

David Sirland’s unbothered remarks on the leaks just scream confidence in the BF team’s work. He assures players that the leaks mean nothing and that the game is still evolving to be a better experience for the players. While leaks of Battlefield 6 might give a small sneak peek to the enthusiasts, the real excitement to actually get on and play the game will forever be unmatched.
