RORY MCILROY has officially become just the second player in PGA Tour history to surpass $100 million in career prize money.
The career-milestone comes after the Texas Children’s Houston Open, which was the penultimate tour stop prior to the first major of the year.


The Down native produced a final round push to finish fifth at Memorial Park Golf Club in Texas in his last event prior to The Masters.
World number two McIlroy now joinsTiger Woods in the exclusive club.
The Northern Irishman reached the milestone after banking $338,000 for his tied-fifth finish in Houston.
That brought his total PGA Tour earnings to just over $100,046,906 million, including 28 wins since his debut in 2010.
Woods, who has 82 PGA Tour victories, passed the $100 million mark in 2012 and now leads the all-time list with $120 million in prize money from 378 appearances.
McIlory’s LIV Golf rival Phil Mickleson sits third on the list on $97m but has far more PGA Tour wins than the Northern Irishman with 45.
The PGA Tour’s purse have increased with the rise of the PIF-backed rival tour.
Meanwhile, Min Woo Lee claimed his first PGA Tour title at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.
The Aussie is $1.7 MILLION richer, Gary Woodland and Scottie Scheffler came away with $845,500 each for finishing joint-second.
And fourth place went to Finland’s Sam Valimaki, who went home with $465,500.
26-year-old Lee has Shane Lowry’s former caddie, Brian ‘Bo’ Martin on his bag since the end of 2024.
Min Woo has six top 20s – including the win – on his 2025 PGA Tour season with the Down man on his bag.
‘Bo’ split with Irish PGA Tour Shane Lowry in January 2023 after a long-time partnership on the Offaly star’s bag.
The pair enjoyed a successful run after teaming up with in 2018, including a major title at The 2019 Open Championship at Royal Portrush.
Shane Lowry’s former bagman was replaced by Darren Reynolds after the pair split but has now found a home with the talented Australian golfer.
The PGA Tour heads to San Antonio this week for the Valero Texas Open, the last stop ahead of the 2025 Masters Tournament at Augusta National.
