Karane Inda is the resident tsundere girlfriend of Rentaro Aijo, and like any character with this trope, she hides her insecurities well. She doesn’t exactly have a lack of competition, since he has multiple girlfriends to choose from and believes her personality will lead to a break up.
In Season 2 Episode 11, she has a nightmare about exactly this, and takes one of Kusuri’s drugs to alter her personality. She’s no longer a tsundere and much friendlier. However, what she didn’t realize is that Rentaro loves her just as she is.

The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Love is undeniably an odd anime. It doesn’t hold back on being as absurd as possible, but Season 2 Episode 12 is uncharacteristically sweet.
Rentaro’s dynamic with each girlfriend is different. He reaffirms his love for all of them in a lengthy speech, a great depiction of the different types of love we go through. The 100 Girlfriends put special focus on Karane’s insecurities as a tsundere and how she isn’t any less lovable for being one.
Fans describe the final episode of The 100 Girlfriends as a love letter to tsunderes and praise the arc
Season 2 isn’t any less weird than the first, and that’s why it works. The 100 Girlfriends might never stop escalating, and despite how sweet the last episode was, the premise seems outlandish. It’s a parody through and through.
To restore Karane’s tsundere personality, Rentaro harvests that energy from the other girlfriends and infuses it into her. This doesn’t happen in reality, but by The 100 Girlfriends’ logic, this is perfectly normal. Still, it shows he loves her for her and she doesn’t have to be anything else for him.
Karane wanted to be more expressive for his sake, and that’s why she took the drugs. Rentaro pleads with her to try and restore her “tsundere factor” because that’s what makes her Karane Inda. The 100 Girlfriends reassures anyone who might relate to her that they are also loved. Fans appreciated this greatly.

The series isn’t meant to be taken seriously, but this might be the most touching arc yet. Love comes in all forms, and tsunderes shouldn’t have to alter their personality or feel the need to express themselves all the time.
Tsunderes are flawed, but they are also perfect in their own way
The 100 Girlfriends is just cliches on cliches, and Karane Inda is the epitome of the tsundere trope. She’s blunt, beats up Rentaro quite often to avoid her feelings, and is insecure deep down.

Underneath it, however, is a kind and protective girl. Her being unable to express her feelings shouldn’t make her any less worthy of love. She, too, ended up wanting to go back to being who she was after Rentaro confessed how deeply he loves her. She felt accepted by someone for the first time.
The strength of an anime as weird as The 100 Girlfriends is that each girl is different. Karane would be surprised by how many fans love and relate to her. She’s perfect in her special way that needs no altering.
