‘Tracker’ Finally Shares an Update on Why Bobby Is Missing From the Show: It’s ‘Hitting Him Hard’

Fans have finally gotten some more answers about Bobby’s absence from Tracker in the latter half of season 2.

In episode 15 of the season titled “The Grey Goose,” Colter Shaw and Bobby’s cousin Randy discussed why Bobby has been missing from the show.

The conversation started with Colter asking Randy if he had been communicating with Bobby in his time away from work.

“No, man, you know how he gets. Doesn’t like to talk about personal stuff,” Randy told Colter.

Colter said that Bobby was away attending a “friend’s funeral,” which was deeply affecting him.

“I know that’s hitting him hard. They were like brothers, man,” Randy said.

Colter revealed that he had “sent him a few texts” but he did not hear back from Bobby. He said that Bobby “was just taking some time” to grieve and process everything that’s happened.

“He’ll get back to it. And if he doesn’t, I’ll make sure he does. No way out but through,” Randy said, giving fans a glimmer of hope that Bobby will return to the show in the future.

Many viewers were relieved to hear about Bobby after not seeing him on the show for over a month.

“Well, at least we get an update on Bobby,” one person wrote on X after Sunday’s episode.

“Bobby been gone for a week now & now you’re finally bringing him up that better mean he gone be back next episode #TrackerCBS,” another person said in a post on X.

“’You heard anything from Bobby?’ Thank you, Colter!! It’s about time *somebody* asked about Bobby’s whereabouts! #TrackerCBS,” someone else wrote on X.

In lieu of Bobby’s absence from Tracker, the show brought back two familiar faces to help Colter out in a case about a missing prison guard who happened to be the niece of Detective Helen Brock, played by Diana Maria Riva, who first appeared during season 1, episode 9.

Colter called upon Sofia Pernas’ Billie Matalon to go undercover in prison to see what she could find out about Justine’s disappearance. “You pretty much owe me for life now,” she told Colter after the prison operation. They ended up kissing and spent the night together, which left fans torn. Some were hoping to see Colter taking things to the next level with Reenie instead of Billie.

“I love this show, but I’m very much shipping Colter and Reenie!” one person wrote in a comment on the show’s Instagram account.

“Really good show tonight. Sofia was awesome in her character Billie’s prison scenes,” another said.

“The Grey Goose” marked the sixth episode of Tracker in which Bobby was missing from Colter’s rewardist operation. Randy came in during season 2, episode 10, titled “Nightingale” to help Colter out while Bobby is away dealing with “family” stuff.

Still, it is unclear if Eric Graise will be back as Bobby by the end of season 2. However, many are holding out hope that he will be back on our screens again soon.

Tracker airs new episodes on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
