Daredevil: Born Again, so far, has managed to impress critics and fans alike, despite the departure that it too from its Netflix counterpart. With Karen Page and Foggy Nelson swiftly departing the narrative for various reasons, Matt has managed to develop and maintain a completely new set of comrades in Born Again.
However, one connection seems to have been a little awkward for fans to witness, given the writing for the character leaves out some huge gaps that don’t make sense. Angela Ayala, Hector’s niece, seems to trust Matt more than she does most adults in power, but that could have been built up a little bit.

Currently, as it stands, Daredevil: Born Again cuts a very odd image for Angelica, whose motivations might feel a little all over the place, along with the fact that her connection to Matt Murdock seems to be one that dabbles in trust and distrust more often than not.
Further, it could have benefited from some additional scenes in previous episodes, just to establish that Matt is someone that the family can trust, then the police.
Fans have no idea how Angela’s character has been written for Daredevil: Born Again

Fans have taken to Reddit to talk about why Angela’s entire arc and character feel too weird so far, as if the writers were not sure what to do with the character. While she is billed as a relatively smart and competent teen, Angela makes some pretty dumb decisions.
Hector Ayala’s death in Daredevil: Born Again looms large over the events of the show. With multiple plotlines converging around the deceased masked vigilante, fans might yet see more of Angela, possibly even taking up the mantle of The White Tiger as she did in the comics. This could lead her to join forces with Kamala Khan by the end of the show, joining her lineup of Champions.
Daredevil: Born Again might set up the Champions, with Matt Murdock as their supervisor

Kamala Khan had a pretty heavy pseudo-cameo when Yusuf Khan made an extended appearance in Daredevil: Born Again. The episode in which he appeared set up what could possibly be a very interesting meeting in the future. Either this could be a She-Hulk-style epilogue that ties things together for the street-level side of the MCU, or it could be something that happens off-screen.
Regardless, the show has been doing a lot of heavy lifting to connect its street side of the MCU, and it might be the case that the next few MCU films do the same for the film side of things. Marvel is definitely focused on tying together all the things that it has set up since Endgame, given that the one major criticism that has plagued the studio is that it might have promised too many things to its fans, without any progression toward a satisfying payoff.
Daredevil: Born Again is currently streaming on Disney+.
