He survived a knockdown earlier in the round but was rendered unconscious by a perfectly placed hook from his cruiserweight rival.

And worryingly, he started experiencing convulsions seconds after he hit the canvas.

Taylor lay on the floor for several minutes, sparking serious concern for his well-being.

But fans in attendance at Planet Ice Altrincham let out a huge sigh of relief when he rose to his feet and left the ring to receive further medical attention.

BKFC further allayed fears over Taylor’s health by revealing he was making a steady recovery.

Northern Irishman Cooke was ecstatic in the immediate aftermath of his ferocious stoppage.

But his ecstasy soon turned to concern for his fallen foe, so much so that he didn’t want to celebrate his viral stoppage.

He told talkSPORT: “I was f***ing very emotional to be honest. Like I say, I fight for my boys.

“My boys are home now watching me. I’d hate for my son to watch me lose like that.

“It was all going through my head and I got very emotional. I didn’t want to celebrate the win.

“Even though it’s a huge win for me. But at the end of the day, the man’s got family. The man’s got loved ones.

“I don’t know if he’s got children or not, but it’s not nice to watch that.

“I don’t give a f**k what anybody says. We’re bad men. We’ve got hearts.

“It’s the worst part of sport.

“But we’re still humans, and I would hate to watch any man go out that way…

“You don’t want to go out like that.

“You want to go out with your hand raised, not in a stretcher. It’s not nice, no matter what.”
