From the Illuminate, the Predator strain of Terminids, and now the Incineration Corps, we’ve gotten a number of new enemies in Helldivers 2. The Automaton Incineration Corps is the most recent one and it’s giving Helldivers a hard time right now.
Players are already fearing that this new enemy will take them back to Malevelon Creek, often referred to as “Robot Vietnam.” This jungle battlefield has already seen some of the most intense conflicts in Helldivers 2, and a new invasion will test our skills even more.

We’ve already started to adjust our builds with fire resistance, crowd control, and high-damage weapons. So whether we’re preparing for a return to Malevelon Creek or not, let’s take a look at the best loadouts and strategies to take down the Incineration Corps.
How to easily defeat the Incineration Corps in Helldivers 2
The Incineration Corps is designed to overwhelm players with fire damage, meaning fire-resistant armor is the first thing you’ll need. The Inflammable and Acclimated armor passives significantly reduce fire damage and will help you against flamethrowers and incendiary rounds. Do note that this doesn’t reduce ballistic impact.
You can also consider the Shield Generator Pack, which can block incendiary projectiles. This is best to give yourself extra protection you’re against a lot of Incineration Corps enemies. Without this first line of defense, even simple fights with Pyro Troopers or Conflagration Devastators can quickly turn around on you. So be wary.
MAJOR ORDER: The Automatons have launched vigorous assaults on multiple planets. A large-scale offensive appears to be underway, led by the Incineration Corps. Immediate action is demanded.

Just finished a trio of missions against bots, shotgun devastators probably accounted for 90% of my deaths.

Im happy with the damage the incinerators deal out, but the distance at which they are able to be so lethal is way too much for what is essentially a shotgun.

As for your loadout, the community currently has a few options for the weapons and stratagems you should use.
- Primary Weapon: DE-Sickle or Auto-Cannon
- Secondary Weapon: LAS-58 Talon or Pummeler
- Stratagems: Orbital Laser, 120mm Mortar Sentry, Recoilless Rifle, Shield Generator Relay
- Armor: Heavy Inflammable Armor or Salamander Armor
- Utility: Stun Grenades or TED-63 Dynamite

I’ve never really felt anything in the game has deserved a nerf, nor called for one for anything, but…
those shotgun devistators really need one ASAP.

This new faction of enemies might just take us back to Malevelon Creek, one of the toughest planets in Helldivers 2. If this happens, we will need to be fully prepared with the best loadouts for our latest enemy.
One of the biggest mistakes players are making when fighting the Incineration Corps is not keeping their distance. Their flamethrowers make it nigh impossible to fight them up close. So make sure to keep your distance. The recommended weapons and stratagems are ranged ones so keep your distance.
Some players have reported that they were able to take on the new Incineration Corps forces without stimming or dying once with a loadout that prioritized infinite ammo, strong cover, and heavy artillery. But we have to remember that personal skill and adaptability play a significant role in surviving these encounters. Your mileage may vary.
