The amount of filler content had become annoying, with some episodes being recap compilations. Needless to say, they receive low ratings and scathing reviews. The anime’s pacing was also suffering due to it.

Black Clover season 4 ended at the exact moment when the anime was starting to get to the best part. The last three episodes had just begun to adapt the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc of the manga, which is arguably the best so far. Thus, when season 5 returns, it will nosedive into the best fights of the series.
The upcoming episodes will show some of the best action sequences and plot twists. Some of these power-ups would be so potent that seeing them animated is a dream for fans of the series. Tons of mysteries and backstories will also unfold in the anime.
But all of this depends on when the anime actually returns. So far, there has been pindrop silence from the studios about any release dates. Season 5 has not even been greenlit, and fans have no idea if the production is underway or not.
