Exactly one week after Katie Thurston and Jeff Arcuri said “I do” in a surprise wedding ceremony, the reality TV alum is on the hunt for the perfect wedding band.
“Freshly cleaned,” Thurston, 34, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, March 29, about her diamond engagement ring. “Already married but looking for my matching band.”
Arcuri, 36, proposed to the former Bachelorette with a stunning three-stone bauble in late 2024. Us Weekly exclusively confirmed on March 22 that the couple moved up their nuptials amidst her breast cancer battle. (Thurston was diagnosed in February and is scheduled to begin treatment for stage 4 breast cancer next month.)
“It was so sweet. Obviously, we were wanting to plan a wedding and there’s a lot of emotions that come in with chemo and the impact and the health and we don’t know what the next year looks like,” Thurston exclusively told Us earlier in March of their wedding in New York City. “And one night he said, ‘I want to show you that I still love you and that I’m here to stay. I’ll get married to you tomorrow.’ We flew our parents in from Michigan and Washington State. We got our marriage license and a friend is just gonna marry us.”

Thurston added, “It was this kind gesture of him saying, truly, in sickness and in health. He is proving that he’s here to stay. He shows up every day and he does it in ways that just continue to surprise.”
According to Arcuri, it was important to get married before Thurston’s treatment for a sentimental reason.

“I want to be able to be in the hospital with her and just be like, ‘My wife’s in there.’ There’s more power to that,” the comedian told Us. “I don’t want to be not with [Katie] for any of this.”
Arcuri also postponed several of his international shows in support of Thurston’s treatment regimen. She will go through multiple rounds of chemotherapy to treat the cancer, which has also spread to her liver.
