TV STAR Danni Menzies has been commended for bravely opening up about her health battles.
The 37-year-old even revealed her condition even left her feeling so low she didn’t want to leave the house – let alone go in front of a camera.

The 37-year-old, who admitted she had suffered from adult acne for years, told how she tried everything from lasers to antibiotics in her mission to blitz the zits for good – but no matter what she tried, the spots always reappeared.
The former A Place in the Sun presenter, of Kenmore, Perthshire, documented her skin transformation in a short video, which she shared to her 135,000 Instagram followers in a bid to help those struggling with the condition.
Appearing make-up free to show her skin at various stages of her tedious dermatology journey, Danni said: “This is a hard share for me.
“I’ve never had perfect skinbut when I developed adult acne, I didn’t want to leave the house, never mind get in front of the camera.
“I tried everything from lasers to antibiotics and some of the things worked for a period of time but it would always come back.
“I got recommended to take Roaccutane many times, but I didn’t want to do that.
“But when I was living in LA a lot of girls were taking something called Spirlactone, which you have to get through a dermatologist but you know what?
“It worked and I haven’t had a problem since.
“So if you are struggling with your skin I just wanted to share a bit of my journey because things aren’t always as great as they look and it is possible for it to get better.”
Fans raced to comment onto Danni’s brave post which gathered 2,240 likes, and commended her for being so vulnerable and open.

Another comment read: “Beautiful inside and out”, while another fan posted: “Very strong of you to share this. I had lots of acne well into my 20s, knocked my confidence. Admiration and respect to you.”
Another fellow sufferer added: “Well done for helping normalise this stuff.
“My self esteem still hasn’t recovered from the battering it took from my teenage acne. I’m sure this video will help people.”
This is not the first time the presenter has been candid about her health.
She recently shared that she’d completed her egg-freezing process after months of sharing her fertility journey with fans.
Danni, who now lives in London, has been vocal about the emotional and financial challenges of freezing her eggs, revealing she now has “ten eggs on ice” and plans to do another round in the future.
She previously expressed her hopes that more companies would offer fertility benefits, explaining: “The world has developed in a way that often doesn’t suit our biological timelines, and options are always good, right?”
The much-loved star also loves sharing what she gets up to when she’s not in front of the camera – from wild swimming in freezing Scottish lochs, to going on holiday with pals.
