Despite Deadpool & Wolverine being released in July 2024, Ryan Reynolds is under fire for letting his and Blake Lively‘s daughter Inez say something off-putting. Inez played the character, Kidpool, and she said something sexually explicit.
Kidpool reportedly tells Deadpool in the film, “Hey, when I want your opinion, I’ll take Wolverine’s d–k out of your mouth.”
But it seems like the line may have changed because, per a script for the movie on Disney.com, the line seemingly changed to, “Hey! When we want your opinion, I’ll take my d**k out of your mouth!”
Along with Kidpool, there’s Lady Deadpool played by Lively and Baby Pool, played by their son Olin.
Now, listen, it’s no secret that kid actors say weird things sometimes, but many are upset because of Reynolds’ orchestrating so much with this production. Along with starring in it and producing it, Reynolds was credited as one of the writers, alongside Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, and director Shawn Levy.
Pre-production work began by Oct 2022, per Backstage, and ended in Jan 2024 due to a delay caused by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike.
Inez was born in Sept 2016, meaning she could’ve been anywhere from six years old to seven years old.

For those who don’t know, Lively and Reynolds originally met on the set of Green Lantern back in 2010, and by Oct 2011, they started dating. They married less than a year later, and have since welcomed four children named James, born in Dec 2014, Inez, born in Sept 2016, Betty, born in Oct 2019, and Olin, born in Feb 2023.
Now, this Deadpool controversy is another layer to the couples’ debacles. Between the drama with this and It Ends With Us, they’re going through it. Per AP News, the two films were also battling it all out in the box office, making it all even more convoluted.
