TWO people have sadly died and a number of others were injured in a two-car crash in Co Cork this afternoon.
It is understood that a young child was seriously injured in the horror smash.
The fatal incident happened at around 3.30pm on Racecourse Road near the Dromahane turnoff on the N72 Killarney to Mallow Road.
Gardai and emergency services raced to the scene after the alarm was raised and currently remain there.
It is understood the deceased were the two drivers of the vehicles.
The road has been closed and is likely to remain closed for several hours to allow a forensic crash investigator to examine the scene.
