Nearly a third of the way into 2025, Resident Evil fans are still awaiting news from developer Capcom about its intentions for the series. After 2023’s RE4Remake, it was widely thought that Resident Evil 9 or a remake of the fifth entry would be next. But as the silence from the studio stretched on, multiple rumors and leaks surfaced to fill the void of official information. Some of these sources claim that Resident Evil Code: Veronica and Resident Evil 0 are actually next in line for the remake treatment, though nothing has been substantiated as yet.
