Rurouni Kenshinis an anime series set in Japan during the Meiji era. The story follows Himura Kenshin, a former assassin who went by the name Hitokiri Battosai. Now, Kenshin has vowed never to kill again and wanders the country as a Rurouni (a wandering samurai). Along the way, Kenshin meets a variety of characters, both friends and foes, and becomes embroiled in various conflicts and battles.
