‘You’re a knock-out’ cry fans as Ireland AM star Muireann O’Connell suffers ‘comedy of errors’ moments before going live

IRELAND AM star Muireann O’Connell’s fans called her a “knock-out” as she suffered a “comedy of errors” moments before going live on air.

The Virgin Media host was back on air today alongside her usual co-hosts Alan Hughes and Tommy Bowe – after both were missing from screens last week.

Muireann always puts her best fashion foot forward when it comes to her TV looks.

And her pre-show outfit clips have become a much-loved tradition with her followers.

Today, the 41-year-old sported a gorgeous number, donning a satin skirt and comfy cardigan combo.

Muireann’s chic grey cardigan was from popular high-street shop & Other Stories.

The wool piece features a round neckline and had a boxy shape to it and retails on their website for €69.

However, the cardigan wasn’t her first choice, as the host initially reached for a pink blouse with puffed shoulders.

But opted to ditch the top as it needed a steam and she didn’t have time before going on air.

Choosing her cardigan, Muireann paired it with an elegant baby pink satin skirt from popular Irish designer Nomi.

The Amara Skirt was an ideal match for her cardigan due to its lighter colour and length.

The fabulous piece retails on Nomi’s site for €113.

She also added a chunky gold necklace and her usual gold bangles.

To round off her on-air look, Muireann wore an “old” pair of nude coloured suede heels.

Muireann opened up to her fans about another mishap she faced this morning after she forgot an essential part of her morning routine.

She explained: “I went to work today without my foundation. That’s like a guard going to work without their hat, it’s an essential part of the uniform.

FASHION FAILS

“I’m just buttered in whatever concealer and tinted moisturiser products I had. I am completely and utterly red, and no make-up is staying on me.”

Showing off her work look, Muireann wrote: “There was a comedy of errors this morning and just no time to be steamin’ the beautiful top.”

Friends and fans raced to the presenter’s comment section to assure her she looked “stunning” anyway.

Naoimi gushed: “Muireann, you’re a knock out. Looooove how you’ve styled your @nomi.ireland skirt.”

Siobhain siad: “Gorgeous outfit – looking forward to seeing the stunning pink top another day.”

Marian commented: “You look stunning.”

Another fan added: “Lovely spring colours.”
