SIR JIM RATCLIFFE has launched a scathing attack on Manchester United’s squad, admitting some of the players “AREN’T GOOD ENOUGH.”

United are currently a shell of the club they were when legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson was at the helm.

Over the years, the Red Devils have signed several high-profile players to extraordinarily lucrative contracts.

Several of those expensive signings have been a financial disaster, which Ratcliffe reckons a number of the club’s current players could be categorised as.

The INEOS chief told the BBC: “If you look at the players we are buying this summer, that we didn’t buy, we’re buying Antony.

“We’re buying Casemiro, we’re buying [Andre Onana, we’re buying Hojlund, we’re buying Sancho.

“These are all things from the past, whether we like it or not, we’ve inherited those things and have to sort that out.

“For [Jadon] Sancho, who now plays for Chelsea and we pay half his wages, we’re paying £17m to buy him in the summer.”
