Mike rocketed to fame on the TV show Wheeler Dealers, where he uses his vehicular expertise to restore classic cars.

He often gives out helpful tips to fellow car lovers on his Ask Mike page online.

Responding to a question about which sportscar he would most recommend, the TV star revealed that he loves the Honda S2000.

Mike said: “For me, it would have to be a Honda S2000.

“I loved the one we had on Wheeler Dealers, and with that VTEC engine it’s a cracking sports car.

First produced in 1999, the car was a major hit.

It was capable of hitting 60mph in just 6 seconds and featured an incredible VTEC engine.

The car was created to celebrate Honda’s 50th anniversary and features a detachable hardtop.

Honda eventually stopped producing the Honda S2000 in 2009.

This was caused by the 2008 automotive industry crisis which coincided with the Great Recession

A used S2000 now sells for £8k making it a great choice if you’re looking for a luxury car that doesn’t break the bank.

Mike has given advice to drivers before and even revealed how you can get a “much better deal” when selling your car.

According to the car expert, part exchanging your car is often a great deal for both you and your car dealer.

Mike said: “A dealer would be happy to do a much better deal with you on your part exchange, therefore giving you a much better deal on the car you’re buying in the hope he can put your car in stock and sell it again.”

However, he warned that it’s important to choose the right car dealer ahead of time.

He said: “Make sure if you’ve got a good part exchange.

“If you’ve got a decent car, clean it, make sure it’s really presentable and choose the right dealer to take it to and change up your car.

“That is very important.”
