Gardai appeal for public’s assistance in tracing teen, 15, missing from Wexford town since Friday

A TEENAGER has been missing since Friday as Gardai urge for assistance in his whereabouts.

Gardai are appealing to the public for help in locating missing 15-year-old Jack Mason.

He has been missing from Rosslare, Co Wexford since Friday, March 7.

Jack was last seen in the North Main Street area of Wexford Town.

He is described as being around six foot in height.

He is also of a stocky build with black hair and blue eyes.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a grey tracksuit.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts are asked to contact Wexford Garda Station on 053 916 5200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.

A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are appealing to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 15-year-old Jack Mason who is reported missing from Rosslare, Co. Wexford since Friday 7th March 2025.

“Jack was last seen in the North Main Street area of Wexford Town on Friday.

“Jack is described as being approximately 6 foot in height, with a stocky build, black hair and blue eyes.

“When last seen, Jack was wearing a grey tracksuit.

“Anyone with any information on Jack’s whereabouts is asked to contact Wexford Garda Station on 053 916 5200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”

Separately, the body of an unidentified man was found close to the Grand Canal at Coolscuddan, Newcastle, Co Dublin yesterday morning, March 8.

His body has been removed from the scene and taken to Dublin City Mortuary.

A post-mortem also took place yesterday.

Gardai said in a statement: “Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the discovery of the body of an unidentified male in the Grand Canal at Coolscuddan, Newcastle, Co. Dublin on Saturday morning, 8th March 2025.

“The man’s body has been removed from the scene and taken to Dublin City Mortuary.

“A post-mortem examination took place yesterday, Saturday 8th March 2025.”

Gardai are now appealing for witnesses, particularly anyone who was in the area.

They are looking to speak with those who were walking or cycling, between the 12th Lock, Lucan and Hazelhatch Bridge, Co Dublin between Thursday, March 6 and Saturday, March 8.

Gardai continued: “Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area, particularly those who were walking or cycling, between the 12th Lock, Lucan and Hazelhatch Bridge, Co. Dublin between Thursday 6th March and Saturday 8th March 2025 to come forward.

“Any road users who were travelling in the area at the time and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, are asked to make this available to Gardaí.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Clondalkin Garda Station on 01 6667600, the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
