Their joint-post was captioned simply ‘Forever’ along with the day’s date.
Her Ireland teammates, however, had far more to see such was their excitement.
USA native Kyra Carusa beamed: “So so happy for you two!!!”
Similarly, Courtney Brosnan gushed: “HUGE CONGRATS!!!!!! Couldn’t be happier for the two of you!!!”
Her central midfield partner Ruesha Littlejohn added ‘Congrats guys’ while Leanne Kiernan chipped in with ‘We love love love.’
Their new head coach Carla Ward just so happened to make her Late Late debut on Friday alongside men’s team counterpart Heimir Hallgrimsson.
During her chat with Patrick Kielty, she joked that Italia 90 legend Packie Bonner was a ‘terrifying’ presence in the FAI’s interview process.
Quizzed specifically on how it feels to be seized up by the giant former goalkeeper, she recalled: “It was seven people around the desk. And everyone was quite nice so you can kind of be yourself.
“Then it came to Packie and you’re thinking ‘Oh my God, what is he going to say?’ Like, you’ve got to be careful.
“And yeah, he was terrifying. He really was. But in a good way because he was probably the only one that was talking football right?
“It was probably the same with you (at which point she glanced over to a nodding Heimir).
“He did hammer me a little bit on heritage – or my lack thereof.”
Among the other topics broached were which player from any era they’d hypothetically transport into their current teams as well as Stephen Bradley’s criticism of Hallgrimsson’s view on LOI-based players.
As regards Bradley’s repeated criticism of him, the Iceland native clarified his pre-Christmas comments that some read as him suggesting Shamrock Rovers players needed to move overseas to be considered for international selection.
The 57-year-old insisted: “I didn’t say that but the League of Ireland is improving. Last year was really good for the LOI.
“I think it’s a positive spiral going on.”
KENNY BELIEVE IT?
He also revealed that he has named two Rovers players in his preliminary squad for this month’s Nations League play-off against Bulgaria.
He added: “We have two that played with Shamrock Rovers in our preliminary squad.
“I’d contradict myself if I said you need to be somewhere else.
“Shamrock Rovers went a long way in the Conference League and I think that kind of creates a positive spiral.
“Teams here are probably looking at what they did well and it could help things get better here.
“We are always looking at League of Ireland players for the future.”
It had already been reported that Josh Honohan was to be rewarded for his good form for Rovers in their European run which took them to the knockout stages of the Conference League.
But SunSport has since discovered that the second player he alluded to who is Celtic striker Johnny Kenny – who recently returned to his parent club after a second loan stint at the Tallaght outfit.
