RTE star Karen Byrne has announced her engagement to her long-term partner Jake Carter.
The young stars became the original Dancing With The Stars couple back in 2018 when their romance brewed on the hit RTE series.
The cute couple took to Instagram today to share the exciting news with their fans.
Jake posted the heartwarming proposal video which left fans “sobbing”.
The singer decided to pop the big question where it all began – on the Dancing With The Stars dance floor.
In the clip, he walked out with their beloved dog towards Karen, who was completely unaware of what was about to happen.
A few throwback clips from their time on the show together played over his touching speech.
Jake got down on one knee and said: “Seven years ago we met on this dance floor and both of our lives changed forever.
“So I thought it was the perfect place to come back and ask you, Karen will you marry me?”
The celebrity judge was left in shock and teared up with emotion before asking: “Are you actually for real?”
Jake then asked, “Is it a yes?” and Karen was quick to respond, “Yeah,” before they broke down in tears and hugged each other.
The 26-year-old captioned the post: “Here’s to forever…”
Friends and fans all flocked to the comment section to gush over the heart-melting announcement and congratulate the pair.
RTE star Laura Fox said: “Omg this is the best news ever!!! Congratulations to you both.”
Irish model Rosanna Davison wrote: “This is amazing. Congratulations!!!”
Miriam Mullins gushed: “Nah I’m sobbing, huge congratulations guys! So happy for you.”
Catherine commented: “Aww congratulations to you both, you are the perfect couple.”

The professional dancer hung up her dancing shoes this year to join the judging panel alongside longstanding experts Arthur Gourounlian, Loraine Barry and Brian Redmond.
At the beginning of January, Jake shared an emotional tribute to Karen ahead of her debut as a judge on the show.
He shared a photo that captured the exact moment they were announced as the winners in season two.
Alongside the snap, he wrote out a heartfelt message that read: “TODAY IS THE DAY. ALL RISE FOR JUDGE KAREN.
“This picture above was taken the moment it was announced that we were champions all them years ago and I also think it is an accurate representation of the moment we found out Miss Karen Byrne from Ballyfermot, was the NEWEST judge on @dwtsirl.
“Karen, you have worked your socks off over the last 7 seasons, with literal Blood, gallons of Sweat and floods of tears, and in my opinion, there is no better person to be now sitting on that judges table than you.
“Proud is an understatement and I can’t wait to watch you be the star that you are from the other side of the dance floor tonight.”
