GENE Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, died at the same time, firefighters believe.
The Hollywood star, 95, and his 65-year-old partner are believed to have died nine days before their bodies were found.

Fire chief Brian Moya said: “As experts, we know a lot about how people die and how long people are dead for.
“The thing I’ll say is that, because both bodies are in a similar manner, it could be a similar timeframe.”
He could not disclose anything more about the cause of their deaths.
Authorities are waiting on toxicology reports.
Double Oscar-winner Gene’s body was found in the hallway of his home in Santa Fe last week. Wife Betsy was dead in the bathroom.
We recently revealed the fate of the fate of Hackman and Arakawa’s two surviving dogs.
Joe Padilla, the owner of pet daycare Santa Fe Tails, has the two surviving pups in his care.
Padilla, who often boarded the couple’s dogs before their tragic deaths, told ABC: “They are safe and adjusting.”
“I will be holding on to them until I get word on what Betsy’s wishes for these dogs are.”
