There are a slew of Avengers that fans want to see return to the MCU come Secret Wars. One of the most popular choices among fans when it comes to characters rejoining the MCU is Wanda Maximoff, who is probably going to appear as a Multiversal variant in Secret Wars.

However, there is one character that a lot of fans want to see more than even Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, and that is Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow. The actress has been billed as an executive producer on the upcoming Thunderbolts* film, so fans are expecting the OG Black Widow to pop up somewhere in the MCU pretty soon.
Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow could appear in Secret Wars in very interesting ways

Fans online are very taken by the idea of seeing Scarlett Johansson‘s Black Widow return to the MCU after her untimely death in Avengers: Endgame. There are a few that have been gunning for Yelena to start wearing Natasha’s face, like she did in the comics, which could get Scarlett Johansson back into play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
On a Reddit thread, created by user Ijustliketodraww, fans are talking about the various ways in which Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) could return to the MCU. Most of the bets hedged point towards Avengers: Secret Wars, where Scarlett Johansson could appear, playing a different version of Natasha Romanoff.
However, there are also some that believe that she might not choose to appear in the MCU, given that her ex-husband Ryan Reynolds is also part of the franchise now, and it’s likely to get a bigger role in Avengers films, thanks to the sheer amount of money that his character brought in, as opposed to Black Widow.
Rumour has it that Doctor Doom will assemble a team that would wear the faces of the old Avengers

Doctor Doom will be wearing the face of Robert Downey Jr., billed by many as the Iron Man stand in for a version of the Avengers that the king of Latveria might be assembling. This could include a Captain Rogers who sees the “wisdom” of Hydra, joining them to exert his control on Earth.
This could also include Maestro Bruce Banner, a Thor that was never sent to Midgard, and perhaps even a Black Widow that managed to take control of the Red Room.
The idea is that the new Avengers who would be assembled in Doomsday by Sam Wilson, will fight a mirror image of the old guard to establish themselves as the new protectors of Earth 199999.
This could see a core team building up by the end of Secret Wars, an antithesis to the team splitting apart at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Not to mention, there will be characters like the Fantastic Four and X-Men in the mix, which means that the new Avengers will assemble in a completely new world.
