Kanye West has been in several relationships over the years before his current wife Bianca Censori. Before Censori and even Kim Kardashian, the rapper was in a relationship with Amber Rose. While their relationship ended a decade and more ago, Rose has not held back on speaking about him, and well, neither has he.
Back a few years ago, the model alleged that Ye had been bullying her ever since they split up. But now, recently in a new interview, Rose revealed that the rapper needs a ‘maternal’ figure, somebody who really loves him to help him out.
Amber Rose opens up about ex Kanye West
Amber Rose and Kanye West were in a high-profile relationship from 2008 to 2010. After they went their separate ways, there have been more than a few times where they commented about each other and occasionally even locked horns over the rapper’s controversial actions (see Complex).
More recently, the model commented about her infamous ex on the Club Shay Shay podcast. Talking about West’s recent controversial acts, from his recent controversial antisemitic posts to Grammy stint with wife Bianca Censori, Rose remarked that West has changed a lot in recent years and needs somebody to love him the way a mother would.
I do have a place in my heart for Kanye, where I know the good side of him. I have experiences the good side of him. But when he surrounds himself with people that feed the dark side of him, he is not living at his full potential.
The model stated that she also feels bad about his recent mental breakdowns and controversial actions, remarking that he doesn’t have anyone ‘maternal’ around him who would love him.
I don’t think he has anybody around him that’s loving on him, the proper way… I think that he has enablers around him that don’t actually care about him.
Rose also revealed that she knew how to take care of him the right way and would sit him down, help him get things right. Earlier in 2020 and even before, Rose had alleged that West had been bullying her since they broke up a decade ago, during an appearance on the No Jumper podcast.

Kanye West and wife Bianca Censori, who are rumored to have split up (via The Sun), caused quite a bit of backlash and uproar over the way Censori was dressed, or rather not dressed at all at the 2025 Grammy Awards. While various claims have been made about the couple’s appearance, West’s ex Amber Rose is the latest to comment about it.
During her interview with Shannon Sharpe on the Club Shay Shay podcast, the model revealed that the rapper forces his partners to go nearly naked in public and that he did the same with her.
Kanye is for sure dressing her like that. eah, he did the same thing to me and Kim. It’s just who he is… He wants other men to want his woman. That’s what he’s into, he likes that. He likes that men are drooling over his woman. That’s what he’s into…. He wants all his friends to want to f*** his girlfriend. He wants everybody that when you walk in a room, that his girlfriend or wife is the most desirable.
The model later revealed that she was also forced to do the same when she was dating him. However, when Kanye West wasn’t around, she would ‘rebel’ by covering up or wearing baggy clothes. Rose also remarked about one particular instance where she wore a see-through dress because West wanted her to and then later cried after having gone through that experience.
