Big Brother legend Mike “Boogie” Malin is in legal trouble once again.
The Big Brother 7 winner and Chilltown alliance member was arrested in January 2025 for attempting to steal from multiple CVS pharmacy locations in the San Fernando Valley, according to TMZ.
Sources told the outlet that an employee at one CVS location confronted Malin, 54, outside the store, asking him to pay for the items he had smuggled out. Malin then allegedly went back inside, placed the items on the ground and left.
After that employee told the police what happened, law enforcement sent officers to another CVS location, knowing that shoplifters often like to steal from multiple stores of the same chain. At the second location, police found Malin’s car, unoccupied with the engine running and hazard lights on. When the three-time Big Brother player returned, police confronted him.

A witness told TMZ that Malin had stolen two bottles of alcohol and energy drinks from the pharmacy. He was arrested and booked for misdemeanor theft, then released on a citation.
This isn’t the first time Malin has run into trouble with the law. His legal problems began in 2011 when he was sued for embezzlement and ordered to pay $800,000. He made his most recent appearance on Big Brother 14 the following summer.

Then in 2019, he was arrested on felony stalking charges for allegedly stalking his former alliance-mate and Big Brother 2 winner Dr. Will Kirby. After getting into more hot water by failing to show up for a court date related to the case, Malin pleaded no contest and was sentenced to two years of probation.
“On behalf of Dr. Kirby, we are grateful to the criminal justice system for holding Mr. Malin accountable for his actions,” Kirby’s attorney exclusively told Us Weekly in a statement at the time. “The crime of stalking is often underreported. There is absolutely no shame in asking for help and reporting troubling behavior. Dr. Kirby respectfully asks for privacy for he and family at this time.”

One month after the verdict, Malin pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor DUI following an August 2020 arrest.
Malin first appeared on Big Brother 2 in summer 2001 and returned five years later for the first Big Brother All-Stars in season 7. He won the $500,000 grand prize and returned to the long-running CBS reality show as a “coach” in season 14.
In 2022, however, Malin filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy, allowing for the sale of his assets to cover his debts.
