SHANE Lowry’s wife Wendy joked ‘Think I found my new doubles partner’ after meeting Serena Williams at the latest TGL event.
The tennis icon is a co-owner of the Los Angeles team so it made sense for her to stop by at its latest pit-stop in Florida.

Shane and the family reside in The Sunshine State so it was equally convenient for them to be in attendance even though wasn’t in action on this occasion.
There was still plenty of starpower on show though as Rory McIlroy was among those competing on behalf of the Boston Common Golf team.
Sadly for McIlroy though, despite being the virtual golf league’s co-founder along with Tiger Woods, he will not be involved in its inaugural play-offs.
His group that includes Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama fell to a 10-6 defeat from New York’s lineup of Cameron Young, Rickie Fowler and Xander Schauffele.
Bay Golf Club team member Shane has had a busy enough time of it this week after competing in the more traditional PGA Tour event of the Cognizant Classic between February 27-March 2.
He finished up in a tie for 11th in that competition which was also held in Florida.
His -13 total left him six shots off maiden winner Joe Highsmith.
The American incredibly stormed to win the event after barely making the mid-way cut line on Friday afternoon.
The 24-year-old’s mother was en route to the airport on Sunday when she turned back to the course after hearing news of her son’s surge up the leaderboard.
The win netted him $1,656,000 and a tour exemption for two-years plus status for the remaining Signature events on the tour.
He’ll also now play in the Masters and PGA Championship.
Lowry netted a cool $184,985 from his finish as he sits on a total of $2,426,986 from four tournaments played on the 2025 PGA Tour.
The tour head to Bay Hill for the Arnold Palmer Invitational this week for the season’s fourth Signature event, with a purse of $20,000,000 on the line.
Offaly ace Lowry finished fourth at the same venue last season behind winner and world number one, Scottie Scheffler.
