Former Local Government Minister Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah has questioned John Dramani Mahama’s resetting agenda as president.
According to him, the president who condemned things done in 2017 should not be seen repeating the same things.
His comment comes on the back of the government’s decision to sack all Ghanaians who were employed after December 2024.
“We are in a resetting regime, and so if something was bad in 2017, it should not be repeated in 2025. You say that you are clearing what is bad in 2017, and you go and bring what you called bad in 2017. If you say you are resetting, how can you go back to that?
Are we not improving our democracy? You say that the NPP is demonic, we are that bad, we did ABC; that is wrong, so vote for me to do away with that. Have you seen the video of President Mahama saying he will not sack any Ghanaian? juxtapose that with this.
So for me, even if NPP per the records you’ve given me were right, I am saying that with the principle of resetting Ghana, you cannot revisit that. Where can the right be?
Then it defeats your own resetting mantra. Your mantra is that we are testing Ghana; we are making Ghana better than the NPP did. We are the new saviours of this country; you say that we are coming to rescue Ghana and that you are rescuing Ghana from the wrongs of yesterday, you cannot come and repeat same wrongs today; otherwise you defeat your own mantra,” he stated in an interview with Oyerepa TV.
