And he shared with his followers that a major cheat code for passing the driving test the first time is to buy blind-spot mirrors.
These are small convex mirrors that attach to the side mirrors of cars and help drivers see areas that are not usually visible.
They provide a wider field of view, allowing drivers to detect other vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians when changing lanes or merging, which improves safety on the road.
Available in Lidl and Aldi stores nationwide for around €2, these bargain buys are a great way to improve road visibility and reduce the risk of accidents.
The driving instructor said: “If you have your driving test coming up in 2025, these are an absolute cheat code for your test — and they only cost €2.”
“Blind-spot mirrors — as a driving instructor, they are one of the best things I have ever recommended to my students.”
He revealed that many people struggle during the test when turning and reversing around the corner because they cannot see their path or the curb.
This leads people to adjust their mirrors down towards the path for a manoeuvre — and often they forget to readjust them to the correct position.
And the driving instructor said that blind spot mirrors will save you time and hassle, especially during your test.
He added: “Pop them onto the corners of your mirrors and adjust them down towards the path, and you will never have to worry about adjusting your mirrors again.”
“I have my blind spot mirrors on because they are an absolute godsend for my students – and they’re only around €2 for a set.”
However, he told his followers to make sure they buy adjustable blind spot mirrors, as these can be pointed in more places than flat ones.
He added: “From driving instructor to learner driver, please get yourself a set of blind-spot mirrors.””
Driving test tip
This comes after another TikToker shared the little-known mistake on the day of your driving test that could cost you €85.

Faded L-plates could give your driving instructor reason to cancel your test, and you might lose the test fee.
He said: “Probably better off not turning up to your test with the L-plate being faded like this because your test might not go ahead and it will be a waste of €85.
“So make sure your L-plates are in good condition and not faded, so the tester doesn’t have a reason not to go out on the test with you.”
