STEPHEN BRADLEY refused to be drawn into a war of words with Liam Burt after Shamrock Rovers claimed a share of the spoils against Shelbourne.
Burt spent last season on loan to Shels from Rovers, having joined from Bohemians a year earlier.
The Hoops announced last weekend that his contract had been terminated and the Scot posted on social media screenshots of what he said were message he had sent to the Rovers coaching staff.
In them, he alleged a total lack of communication from Bradley and his assistant Glenn Cronin and claimed he had been left to organise his own operation, although it is understood the club paid for it.
He also posted a picture of him holding the league trophy.
But Bradley said: “We need to say to Liam, best of luck getting back from your injury, focus on your rehab and we wish you the best.”
Asked if he was surprised by the ex-Celtic and Rangers player, he said: “Nothing surprises me, in life or football.”
On his side’s display in the Dublin derby, he said: “I really liked the first half, bar the first five minutes. We were really good. We controlled created some good chances
“In the second half we had to show different aspects of our performance on what was a poor pitch and defend.”
Rovers are bidding to wrest back the league title from Shels and he said: “We just need to keep what we’re doing. I like where the group is and what we’re showing. We just have to stay focused and keep showing up like that and everything will be fine.
“You always end up where you deserve to be.”
