Sammi Awuku, former Deputy Communications Director, has strongly criticized President John Mahama’s government, questioning the logic behind its approach to job creation and the revocation of appointments in various public institutions.
According to Awuku, the government’s claim of resetting the economy contradicts its actions. “A struggling economy was still able to employ thousands, pay allowances, and sustain development. How then does one create employment by causing unemployment?” he questioned.
He dismissed the administration’s justification for terminating appointments, insisting that no proper audit had been conducted to support the decision.
“If you claim some of these appointments were not done properly, show us the audits. Were the findings published for public scrutiny?” he demanded.
Awuku believes the move was politically motivated rather than based on due process.
“This mass revocation was not driven by governance principles but by emotions and subjective decisions. A real reset should bring improvement, not revert to the same old ways the President once criticized,” he stated.
