The General Overseer of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has commended President John Mahama for his forgiving nature and urged him to remain steadfast in his leadership approach.
Speaking during the President’s Fellowship with the Clergy at the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday, 28 February 2025, Archbishop Duncan-Williams said he had observed the President’s character over the years and found him to be a leader who does not harbour vindictiveness.
“Mr. President, you are that kind of example because I’ve watched you when you were in power before, even in the days when you were in Parliament. I watched your attitude,” he said.
“I’ve seen people hurt, offend and betray you over the years. We’ve talked about some of them. You don’t discriminate. You have not lost your common touch, whether in opposition or in government, you are not vindictive. Please stay that way, don’t change,” the Archbishop emphasised.
He further advised government officials to avoid using their authority for personal revenge, warning of serious consequences when power is misused to settle personal scores.
