A WOMAN killed in a horror crash in a Scots village has been named.
Kim Gilbert, 56, passed away after she was involved in a collision on the A87 near Inverinate, Kyle, in the Highlands, on Tuesday.
Mercy crews raced to the scene at around 11.10am following reports of a crash involving a white Vauxhall Astra.
Sadly, Kim, from the Stafford area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car, a 57-year-old man, was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
Enquiries into the fatal crash remain ongoing.
Cops are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Sergeant Calum MacAulay of the Highlands and Islands Road Policing Unit said “Our thoughts remain with Mrs Gilbert’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“Our enquiries into the circumstances of the collision continue and I would urge anyone that was driving on the A87 near Inverinate around the time of the crash to get in touch with us.
“I would appeal again to anyone who may have dash-cam footage to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 1126 of the 25 February, 2025.”
